Offices & workplaces
Modern offices are sealed, mechanically ventilated and densely occupied — which makes them very good at circulating airborne mould and very bad at showing it.
How it shows up
Complaints cluster near return-air grilles, in meeting rooms with poor airflow, and on floors below roof plant. Staff report headaches and fatigue that lift on weekends. Visible growth, when it appears, is often behind joinery, above ceiling tiles or in the base of external walls after a storm.
What’s at stake
Under WHS law the person conducting the business must provide a workplace without risks to health so far as is reasonably practicable. Once mould is documented, “we didn’t know” stops being a defence. Beyond compliance, absenteeism, productivity loss and tenant retention all track indoor air quality.
How Myko treats it
Airborne diffusion after hours, floor by floor, with the HVAC included in the treatment zone. Surface treatment for any visible growth. For buildings with recurring complaints, a quarterly program with readings that HR and facilities can table at safety committee meetings.
How Myko treats mould in this environment.
Ongoing management programs
Scheduled recurring treatments for buildings with persistent risk — climate-driven, use-driven, or history-driven.
