About Myko

Mould is the whole business.

Myko takes its name from mycology, the study of fungi. We reduce airborne and surface mould in occupied commercial buildings across Australia — quickly, without demolition, and with documentation at the end of it.

What Myko is

A specialist mould reduction service.

Myko installs a system that diffuses a proven mould-killing formula through a commercial building on a set schedule. It runs on its own, continuously, while the building operates normally — and it holds airborne and surface mould at a low, documented level rather than knocking it back once a quarter.

The formula is manufactured to laboratory standards by our supply partner. The accreditation belongs to the chemistry. Our role is specifying it correctly — the right coverage, the right dose, the right schedule, for the building in front of us.

What Myko is not

A demolition or remediation contractor.

We do not remove plaster, tear out cavities, replace insulation or dispose of contaminated materials. When a building requires structural remediation, we say so — and we work alongside licensed remediation partners rather than compete with them.

This is a deliberate line. It keeps our expertise focused, our service fast, and our scope honest. Most commercial mould situations do not require demolition. They require the right chemistry, competently applied.

The gap Myko fills

The middle option that most buildings never knew existed.

Facilities managers have historically faced a binary choice: do nothing until a problem is unavoidable, or engage a full remediation contractor at significant cost and disruption.

Myko exists in the middle, and it is not an event. A system running continuously reduces the airborne mould load before it becomes visible, before it triggers complaints, and long before it becomes a claim. Where mould is already visible but remediation is not yet warranted, it reduces the burden and buys time to plan.

The economics work in almost every case. A recurring program costs a fraction of a single remediation event — and makes that event far less likely to ever happen.

How we operate

Principles we hold to.

1

Honesty about scope

Some buildings need remediation, not reduction. When that’s the case, we say so plainly. We would rather refer a job than take one we cannot deliver on.

2

Measurement, not marketing

Our results are documented. Where useful, we take pre and post readings. Reports are written to stand up to insurance review and WHS scrutiny.

3

Minimum disruption

Buildings stay open. Workforces stay in place. Nobody schedules around us, because once the system is in there is nothing to schedule.

4

Long-term partnerships

A system that runs for years only earns its keep if someone is still watching it. Servicing, readings and reporting continue for as long as the system does.

Coverage

Australia-wide, metropolitan and regional.

We install and service systems across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the ACT, and mobilise to regional, remote and industrial sites on request.
